Good afternoon Morrisville M/S HS Community,

I hope that everyone had an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend! We had a successful week in the M/S HS this past week. Students, staff, and families demonstrated the flexibility and effort needed to support all of our students during this unique Fall standardized testing experience. Everyone’s effort is sincerely appreciated! Below you will find a brief update as we enter the week.

Fall Testing Update

We will be extending PSSA Make-up exams this week. However, there will be no changes made to the Middle/Senior High School Testing Calendar. The Guidance Department will be in touch with a small number of families to complete testing requirements.

Back to School Night

Our annual Back to School Night is scheduled for Thursday, September 23, 2021, at 6:30 pm. We are excited to welcome our families back to the building this year!  More information on BTSN will be communicated early this week.

TikTok Challenge

Recently, we have experienced a few incidents of vandalism in our M/S HS bathrooms due to a viral TikTok challenge, referred to as “Devious Lick.” Morrisville M/S HS, like many other schools, experiences student misbehavior and addresses the behavior accordingly. There are consequences in our District for this type of behavior, including those outlined in our Student Handbook, School Board Policy, and in extreme cases in accordance with our local police department. Most of our students do the right thing every day because it is the right thing to do, and we appreciate their positive choices. However, we understand that students make mistakes occasionally, and we are here to educate and support our students every step of the way. Please speak with your students about the potential consequences of participating in ill-advised social media challenges as we work together to encourage positive social media use and community connections.

Please stay connected to this blog, our District website, Facebook page, and as always, please get in touch with me at shaines@mv.org should you have any questions.

Have a fantastic week!

Thank you,

Sean D. Haines
