    All teachers on the team use a straight point system where scores achieved are added and divided by the available total points.

    class

    Daily Effort Calendar (Used for Advisory and some classes at Teacher Discretion) 

    • Students will be graded daily on their efforts and behaviors that affect their own and other students' academic performance. 
    •  This will be outlined and explained on another paper for students and parents to clearly understand.
    • The 5 points a day, or 25 points a week, will be adjusted to a score out of 10 each week in order to weight this category appropriately in relation to their academic achievement.

    Daily assignments (workbook/worksheet/effort/participation)

    • Completed each day, assignment is out on desk at the start of class the next day.  Not accepted late except for absent students.

    Study Island (weekly) for applicable classes

    • Blue Ribbon on time =10/10
    • On time under 70% with true effort = Incomplete (60%)
    • Blue Ribbon Late 1 week = 80%
    • Later than 1 week = Inc (60%)
    • Grades entered at 2:30-3 on Mondays of the following week

    Khan Academy (weekly)

    • The average of the scores for due date adjusted out of 10 points
    • Later than 1 week = Inc (60%)
    • Grades entered at 2:30-3 on Mondays of the following week

    Organizational Assessment (Binder check or quiz)

    • Students are expected to keep things organized daily.  
    • Binder checks or quizzes are “Pop-quizzes”

    Quizzes

    • Preparing and studying is an expectation.  
    • Quiz corrections are not a regularly offered option and would need to be discussed with a teacher after school.
    • Students who are absent the day of a quiz are expected to take the quiz the day they return in class or advisory at the teacher’s discretion.

    Projects

    • All projects assigned will be accompanied with a rubric that should be used as a checklist.
    • Projects received later than the due date will loss points daily. 
    • Projects that are over a week late will receive an incomplete (60%) at best.

    Tests

    • Preparing and studying is an expectation. 
    • Corrections are not an option on tests as they typically fall at the end of a quarter. 
    • Students who are absent the day of a test are expected to take the quiz the day they return in class or advisory at the teacher’s discretion.

    Missing assignments = 40% to avoid creating discouraging deficits 

    Incomplete assignments = 60%
