Meet the Library Media Specialist

              Mr. Greenwood---Library Media Specialist

I want to extend my excitement of joining this community of learners.  I am joining you as the new district wide library media specialist.  This is my ninth year as a school librarian.  I have had the privilege to teach students from a wide array of school communities, from the inner cities of West Philly and Allentown, to the countryside of Lancaster County.  This is a unique situation.  The library program is being reinstated after years of elimination.  There is a ton of work to be done.  However, I am confident that Morrisville students will have world class facilities for learning, from Grandview to the Intermediate/Middle/High School.

I have designed a new webpage with links for your student's learning.  One of my goals is to create a 21st Century learning environment where the students are privy to useful, educational, yet entertaining technologies.  I am still a fan of great fiction stories.  So, your students will be exposed to those materials as the school year goes along, which will assist in strengthening each student's reading capacities and connections to the outside world from the endless themes in literature.

If there are any suggestions for reading, or any questions about the library or how your child can be involved, or if you would like to be involved in somehow, you can contact me.  My email will be at the bottom.  This will be a gradual, slow process.  This should be an exciting school year.  I look forward to working alongside everyone.  Happy learning!
