Reading Olympics

  • On March 28, 2017 students from 4th and 5th grade from the Intermediate School participated in the BCIU annual Reading Olympics at Mill Creek Elementary (Bristol Twp School District).  Deli's D.E.A.R.'s (Drop Everything and Read) represented the school district.  The competition pits our team against another Bucks County school.  There are three rounds, 40 questions a round and each team gets 20 questions a piece.  So, the Deli's D.E.A.R.'s faced off against three different schools. There were 35 competing elementary schools from all around Bucks County. Questions were pre-determined on content from 47 books.  Content gathered were on comprehension questions (plot, themes, characters, conflict).

Congratulations are in order.  The Morrisville team racked up 41 total points in the three rounds to finish in SECOND PLACE!!!  WAY TO GO!!!  The team was coached by Mrs. Deliman and accompanying the team to Bristol was Mr. Greenwood and Ms. Dunn, along with the supporting parents of our team.
